By now, you may know the fundamentals and concepts of our program here at Palaygo but not how it is going. This article outlines the ins and outs of Palaygo - how it is benefiting students and teachers across countries alike.
At the moment, the students in Japan connect from their learning centres in the afternoon and evening, and students in Australia connect at a similar time after school from their homes (with the hour or two time difference!). All of these students are having great fun learning and practicing language, whilst making friends and learning new things about the other’s culture, way of life and much more.

Our program creates synergy between school teaching and home practice from multiple successful cases at schools in different states using the platform. Students have actually recently been able to practice the phrases and words they learnt at school during the daytime with Japanese students from their room in the evening time. We have made this possible by reflecting the content that is being taught by teachers within our program, for the students to utilise in real life conversations! As always, Palaygo aims to enrich students’ learning and assist their teachers in doing so. The nature of our collaboration with the school and teachers is a great merit to linking teaching and practice.

Recently we have also been able to create a number of new virtual rooms that go with each individual Palaygo user’s profile. These are linked and enriched with cultural elements, prompting conversations with students and providing the opportunity to learn about Japanese culture from an expert and friend. Australian students can also share their own experiences and culture with their Japanese friends, creating beautiful learning opportunity for both parties.
The new Japanese room!
Palaygo creates situations for students (and teachers) that are an actual transfer of learning into practice. We are in the prime of making this happen and seeing it positively affect students and teachers across both countries in real time.
